WHERE TO GET STARTED?
A LIST OF OUR RECOMMENDED RESOURCES FOR CHRISTIANS
Welcome to the Recommended Resources page of Mission Save Montana!
Here, you’ll find a curated list of helpful resources to support you in your journey of faith and in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others.
We’ve handpicked these resources to provide you with tools, inspiration, and encouragement as you seek to grow in faith.
The primary resource should always be the Word, of course. The Bible is God’s Word to you; With only 3 chapters a day, you will read the whole Bible in one year.
- Bible Study:
- A Bible Dictionary (we recommend Vine’s)
- A Bible Concordance (we recommend Strong’s)
- Cross Reference Book (we recommend Treasury of Scriptural Knowledge)
- Bible Atlas & Maps (Free ones online are fine)
- Bible Laws guide for help in understanding the O.T. laws
- Bible Culture Aid (if needed) (An okay start is the book “Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes: Removing Cultural Blinders to Better Understand the Bible”)
- Bible Gateway for verse/translation comparison
- We recommend using KJV and/or WEBU translations. We do not recommend using any translations that have copyright claims on the Word of God.
- We also strongly recommend a hard-copy Bible. It is easier to write notes in as needed.
- Bible App for your phone
- Bible.is for audio Bible options.
- Bible Project Videos for Bible book introductions (best used before reading a book).
- Parallel Gospels for comparing/contrasting the Gospels
- Your Local Church:
- If you are in Montana and struggling to find a church, please contact us. We would be happy to help point you in the right direction based on your particular faith tradition.
