Specialized Ministry Efforts At MSM
the Incarcerated and the Unhoused
Focused Populations
At Mission Save Montana, our calling is to bring the transforming hope of the Gospel to all people—but we are especially burdened to reach those who are often forgotten or unseen by society. Through our Specialized Ministry Efforts, we are extending Christ’s love to two deeply vulnerable groups: the incarcerated and the unhoused. These outreach programs are built on the belief that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace, and that practical care must accompany spiritual hope.
Ministry to the Incarcerated
Our founder and ministry leader serves as a chaplain at the local detention center, offering spiritual guidance, biblical teaching, and personal encouragement to those who are incarcerated. Each week, he meets with men and women who are hungry for truth, struggling with regret, and searching for a path to redemption. Through chapel services, one-on-one conversations, and discipleship, hearts are being softened and lives are being changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This ministry is not a solo effort. The chaplain’s wife plays a vital supporting role, assembling care packets and providing Christian reading material that are distributed to the inmates. These materials offer not only spiritual nourishment but also emotional comfort and a tangible reminder that they are not forgotten. Together, they seek to meet the deep spiritual needs behind the prison walls with consistent presence, love, and truth.
Ministry to the Unhoused
In addition to our prison outreach, Mission Save Ministry is actively developing a ministry for the unhoused population in our community. This effort is grounded in compassion and focused on restoration. We are assembling “hope packets” that include essential items such as hygiene products, snacks, water, socks, and seasonal necessities—alongside uplifting resources like Scripture cards and prayer guides.
But our goal goes beyond one-time relief. We are committed to building real relationships with the unhoused, offering conversation, prayer, and a listening ear. As trust is built, we hope to connect individuals with the tools and support systems they need to take meaningful steps toward stability—whether that be temporary shelter, addiction recovery programs, or spiritual guidance.
At Mission Save Montana, we believe every person carries the image of God, no matter their current circumstances. Through our specialized outreach, we seek not only to share the Gospel but to walk alongside those in need—bringing hope, dignity, and the love of Christ wherever He sends us.
If you’d like to support or get involved in these ministry efforts, contact us here. We are especially in need of local organizations that would be willing to donate resources, food, or time to these populations (especially inmate book donations, correctional officer support donations, and unhoused resources donations). Your prayers, donations, or volunteer time can help bring light into dark places!
