What We Believe

The belief system Behind Mission Save Montana

Our Statement Of faith

At Mission Save Montana, we are driven by a steadfast commitment to sharing the life-transforming message of the Gospel with every home in our beloved state.

As a family, our beliefs and values are rooted in the timeless truths of Scripture, which guide and inform our mission and outreach efforts. While we personally hold to Baptist doctrines and principles, we are not denominational in our approach to ministry, and we warmly welcome and support Christians of various denominations who share our passion for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. As an organization, we are interdenominational and strive to edify all of our Christian brothers and sisters across many denominational lines.

But we understand there is always a place for an open and honest statement of belief. Therefore, below you will find our core convictions:

1

SCRIPTURE AS GOd’s PERFECTLY PRESERVED Word

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority for faith and practice. It contains all that is necessary for salvation and spiritual growth, and we are committed to faithfully proclaiming its message to all people. (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:18; Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33; Isaiah 40:8)

2

THE TRINITY: THREE IS ONE

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that these three are one (1 John 5:7). This is true, even though they are three distinct persons. (John 1). What a beautiful mystery our infinite God is! (Romans 11:33-34) (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Timothy 2:5; Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 61:1; Psalm 2:7; John 6:27; Romans 9:5; Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16)

3

Salvation Is By Grace Through Faith

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned or deserved by human effort but is freely given to all who trust in Christ’s atoning sacrifice on the cross. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 6:44; Titus 2:11-15; Romans 5:20-21; John 1:16-17; Acts 15:10-11)

4

The Victory Of Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death on the cross for the sins of humanity, and rose from the dead on the third day, demonstrating His victory over sin and death. The Gospel is this Good News: Christ’s birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension. (John 1:1-14; Colossians 1:15-20; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Isaiah 53; Matthew 28:5-6; 1 Corinthians 15:20)

5

The Great Commission

We believe in the mandate given by Jesus to His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that He commanded. We are committed to fulfilling this commission through our outreach efforts first locally in Montana and then hopefully beyond. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 24:46-49; Acts 1:7-8)

6

Once Saved, Always Saved

We believe in the eternal security of the believer, affirming that those who have genuinely trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally saved and cannot lose their salvation. This assurance is based on the promises of God’s Word and the sealing of the Holy Spirit, who guarantees the believer’s inheritance until the day of redemption. (1 John 2:19; 1 Jude 1:24-25; Ephesians 4:30; Romans 8:38-29)
